The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to identify your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration, which prevents microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is even better because its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that needs to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
