Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers love the remote control capabilities of their key fob. With a smartphone app they can lock and unlock the vehicle and start the engine and even locate it.

First, place the fob onto a clean work surface with the logo facing upward. Locate the button that lets you release it, place an object between the fob and the cover and pull it up slowly.

Locking the Door

Volvo's remote keyfobs can unlock your vehicle's doors, tailgate, and fuel filler flap with the press of a button. The remote key fobs can also switch on the ignition and set off the alarm. Turning Off the Alarm

Modern key fobs provide many advantages over a traditional mechanical car key. They can't always function perfectly and batteries can fail. If you're in a hurry and don't want to visit an establishment to get your key fob programmed, you can achieve it at home.

Find a clean surface and lay out your key fob, battery and other keys.
