Best Roomba Vacuum Cleaner

This is a great choice to consider if you're seeking a basic robot cleaner that doesn't have the advanced features of other models. It is capable of removing pet hair, kitty litter and Cheerios on hardwood floors. It even sucked up sand during my tests.

It's fast and precise in mapping rooms, and it does a great job of avoiding obstacles. It can also be manually controlled by using the remote included.

1. iRobot Roomba s9+

The s9+ robot vacuum is the most effective we've ever tested to clean carpets and hard floors. It has the most powerful suction power of any robot vacuum cleaner available. It also does an excellent job in removing pet hair. It can be programmed to make multiple passes or adjust suction levels depending on the size of the room, a feature that we haven't seen on other models. Its app allows you to customize how it works and also choose the time it starts working to allow you to be present in the room while it whirls away.

Smart mapping generates a precise home map to aid the S9+ to navigate efficiently and plan routes. It can also self-empty so you don't need to be there to help. It also recharges itself mid-clean. The s9+ was able navigate around obstacles like tables and power cables without any issue. It never lost charge and never got stuck. It lacks the hazard-avoidance features of recent models, and can become stuck on rug tassels or other obstructions it is unable to see.

Contrary to the majority of circular robots, the s9+ is flat-fronted and has an angled front that lets it access corners better than round models. It's also quieter than the previous iRobot model we tried and is smaller than the Neato Botvac D7. It's not expensive, but it's an excellent value given the quality of its performance and the fact that you don't have to worry about emptying a dirty bin following the use. 2. iRobot Roomba j7+

The j7+ robotic vacuum is one of the most intelligent vacuum cleaners available on the market. It is equipped with iRobot Genius Technology, which allows it to detect obstacles and move around them. This means that you don't need to worry about the robot hitting walls or furniture. It slows down as it approaches an item to gently clean its edges. This is particularly beneficial when you have pets that are small who leave their messes behind.

Another great characteristic of the j7+ is that it can mop as well as vacuum using a specially designed mopsitter. When it notices that you're in a place that needs to be mopped it switches to its normal cleaning mode and activates an arm with a pad. It swept the floor gently leaving my floors feeling and looking like they had been thoroughly cleaned.

When it's done mopping the j7+, it returns to its dock and recharges. It then drives back to where it left off and resumes its cleaning. It usually runs for around 85 minutes, or more or less in my house, before returning to the dock for a recharge. It's not as long as the s9+, but it's still impressive for a machine that does both vacuuming as well as mopping.

The j7+, just like other iRobot vacuum cleaners, avoids obstacles and recognizes them. It also comes with what iRobot calls Cliff Detect technology, which helps to prevent it from taking a tumble down the stairs. It's a fantastic security feature for families.

The j7+ comes with a relatively small onboard bin which means that it will have to go back to the dock and empty itself often if you live in a large home. However, the j7+ is simple to store. The Clean Base comes with an charging dock, and also an external dustbin, and an internal bin where the j7+ is able to deposit dirt.

You must use physical boundaries strips to keep the model away from these objects.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

With an elegant, premium design that complements your home decor, the Roomba 694 is a great robot vacuum for those who want an easy to use set it and forget it. It learns your cleaning habits to create a customized schedule and can be used with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants that allow you to start a clean with just the sound of your voice. It makes use of a wide range of sensors to navigate the obstacles around your home. A smart bumper cushions the impact of bumps into furniture legs or walls. Four "cliff" sensors on the sides and front inform it that it is close to an edge, such as the stairs or a balcony, and it's also able to reverse.

This model is a fantastic value in the sub-$300 robotic vacuum category. It has a three-stage cleaning system as well as two multi-surface brushes to remove dirt from carpeted and hard floors and an edge-sweeping tool takes care of edges and corners. It doesn't come with voice control or a companion app, however, it has a simple use remote. It doesn't inform you when the bin is full. You'll need to check it regularly.

The eufy has a number of advantages over the Bobsweep Bob Pro, but in some areas it is not as efficient as the irobot pet series Roomba 694. The iRobot Roomba 694 is more built, has fewer parts to maintain, a HEPA-filter and lasts longer on one charge, and provides better cleaning performance for floors with no floor, low-pile and high-pile. The eufy is superior to the ILIFE a4s but not as effective as the top-end models like the Roborock S7 maxV Ultra. The irobot roomba vacuum and mop has a higher-quality build, a larger dustbin and is able to pay for fewer monthly expenses. It also has a more sophisticated navigation algorithm that can maneuver over obstacles and has more advanced automation capabilities, including boundary strips. The iRobot is also more effective in sucking up pet hair, and easier to maintain than the eufy.
