The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do to map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of one button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. We like the claim, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its shark vacuum and mop robot settings are as good as those on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior as its spinning pads clean your floors better than the vibrating pads.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move away when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even remove wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can want. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum 2022 known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a specific path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel has the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can alter how the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
