Developer Supergiant Games' 2020 roguelike Hades is getting a sequel. It's an opportune move that increases the stakes and gives a deeper look at familial politics.

Melinoe returns to kill Chronos the titan of time. Along the way she'll meet new gods and specters, such as the personification of light Apollo and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate and the god of the retribution Nemesis.

1. Hades 2 Technical Test

It features a thrilling combat experience with more depth than ever before the roguelite manages to feel like an entirely realized game just waiting on some final touches to create an instant masterpiece.

Aside from its stunning visuals, Hades 2 introduces a variety of brand new and exciting characters and features that enrich the experience and test players in ways they never expected. Apart from the new gods and shades that are a part of the Underworld and the Underworld, there's a variety of objects to collect and upgrade through Incantations, which are a system of constant upgrades found throughout each run. Melinoe can also craft new spells, enhance her nocturnal arms and Nocturnal Armor, collect items from the crossroads camp to use in future runs, and unlock trinkets, weapons boons, paths and other tools as she moves through.

The opening of more open areas is a welcome expansion. These regions provide a variety different routes through each region, and the setting is constantly changing to explore. Supergiant also altered the gameplay slightly in the early access version, cutting down the amount of grinding required to unlock certain upgrades, and making it easier to move from one area to the next. There's still plenty of work to be done before the game hits its full release however, Supergiant has made it clear that it's determined to maximize player feedback and continue to fine-tune Hades 2 to a perfect state.

Supergiant is famous for its ability to listen to its players, and resolve any issues that may arise. This is evident in how it dealt with the early access release of Hades 2 Although it's a long time before the full version is released, Hades 2 already feels like a worthy addition to your gaming library.

3. Hades 2 Beta

Hades was a roguelike like the rest when it came out in the year 2018. The game has won numerous awards and is widely regarded as one of the greatest games ever created.
