Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

A robot vacuum is a great device to keep a clean home. It will remove pet hair, dust and other debris from the surface before it causes a bigger problem.

1. iRobot S8

The Tyres of the X8, despite their circular shape, are very adept in grabbing corners and edges. It's not a fantastic cat litter picker, though, with our tests showing it can only remove about 90 percent of the fur off hard floors.

There's a basic mopping option that utilizes the same water tank as the vacuuming one. This is great for spills that aren't serious, but you cannot control the amount of water it consumes. It does, however, do an admirable job of picking up pet hair, with a better speed of pickup than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Awarded for its quiet and efficient home appliances, Miele's RX2 robot vacuum comes with outstanding cleaning power, beautiful design, and a great navigation. There are a few niggles in its operation that prevent it from being considered the best smart robot vacuum.

Like iRobot's latest models and models, the RX2 has a dual-sensor mapping system which uses an LIDAR sensor to map a room and two 3D scanning cameras that can detect and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real-time. Once the room is mapped, the app lets you create virtual no-go zones as well as preferred areas that the robot will automatically clean. You can also alter the cleaning modes, start a manual clean or see live feeds from the onboard cameras from the main screen.

The RX2 is equipped with excellent sensors that detect furniture and other obstructions instantly. However, it's not the most efficient robot vacuum mop combo available. It's not the most efficient climber and has issues with transition strips made of steel.

Its composite score for flooring and carpet beats the competition and it picked up 98.5 percent of pet hair from our laboratory test samples.

The controls are less basic than the competitors. There's a cleaning button on the top and you can choose to start it with the app or by voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also set up a schedule for weekly or daily cleans, create no-go zones, and see the history of its cleaning. Ion is clad in a smart dark gray plastic that looks and feels attractive in your home. The rear dust bin is easy to access for emptying and removing the filter equally easy.

5. Eufy 11S

If you're looking to buy a basic robotic vacuum that is simple and has no frills at a reasonable price, the Eufy 11S might be your best bet. The model isn't equipped with smart features such as Alexa integration and digital mapping found in more expensive models. If you don't require these features, you can save money.

This robot is simple to set up and use. It does not require smartphone application or Wi-Fi pairing. However, it does come with a remote control which allows you to choose between different modes and adjust suction levels. You can also assign the robotvac to a cleaning schedule.

During our tests, the 11S was very effective at getting rid of dirt and pet hair from hard floors as well as in carpets with a low pile. Its slim profile made it possible to get under low-hanging furniture and other items that some heavier robots were unable to get at. One thing we love about the 980 is that it uses its iAdapt 2.0 navigation sensors and visual simultaneous localisation and mapping technology (or vSLAM) to store the floor plan of your home. It will use this information to create a consistent and efficient cleaning path for each cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient robot vacuum cleaner than the majority of high-end robots.

Other features include dual multi-surface rubber brushes, that pick up dirt from hard floors and carpet, along with a spinning brush that sweeps debris into the bin of the robotic vacuum. Its floor tracking sensors aid it navigate around furniture and along edges, and Cliff Detect prevents the Roomba from falling down stairs. It can also return automatically to the base station for simple recharging in between sessions. The bin capacity and battery life of the 980 aren't as good as some other robot vacuums. However, it is a solid and reliable machine that will keep floors clean for a long time. hours.
