World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade item of an item can be used to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type it can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.

Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a set amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly depending on the upgrader you choose and what kind of upgrade you decide to do. This is because of how many perks need to be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

It is also used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to limit how much PvP gear players can use, since PvP is limited at lower levels. The average item level can be found on the character sheet.

Using the item level can help players compare the potency of gear when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an excellent indicator of the quality of an item and how much damage it is capable of dealing with. Comparing items in the inventory of a vendor can be done by using the level of the item.

The item level can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. It is also accessible by hovering an item upgrader mod with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are a variety of theories on how the level of an item is determined. One theory states that the level of an item is determined by formulas that determine how valuable an item's stats actually are. It considers that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in the sockets increase the value of the item. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is usually close to the actual Blizzard item level.

This isn't the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The degree of the area in which the item dropped can also alter its stats. For instance, it could increase the item's haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.

Item Stats

Stats on an item are a significant part of what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the best." The base stats of a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modifications that are in turn enhanced by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. A grey or white item, for example, will only be upgraded one time, while an item with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times at higher costs.

Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and are available in all shapes and sizes. The affixes could provide the item additional damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving dead or decreasing the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving an exclusive name to the item.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However each item will have at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an exclusive item or the item is a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. But, like base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis, and the interface for comparing items will not show all the stats that could be gained or lost at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the intensity of the properties. It does not, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is particularly useful for early game runs, since players tend to prioritize weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to give +40 Luck, or to increase the existing Luck of the item up to 140.

Additionally some items, like the Hollow infused weapon can be outfitted to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be found in the shops or made by using the appropriate ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are costly and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to increase the success rate of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it is not successful.

When you upgrade item an item upgrade upgrader kit; via m.jingdexian.com, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to the extent to which the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%.

The luck of an item may influence the success of an upgrade. All items have an average success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases that chance by an additional 5%.

The upgrade overlays for items are displayed above items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
