The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that can be used as car seat carrier. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop user-friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. The frame's weight is less than a kilo, and is so lightweight that you can lift it from the box using just one hand.

It's also easy to attach or remove attachments or adaptors - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30 degrees to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon just by flipping the handle, which means parents can select the mode they prefer for their trip. The wagon is able to accommodate two or three children ranging from 6 months to five years old. It has a large storage basket that can hold all your necessities when you are on the move.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or large as other wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as some other wagons we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move, however, and can fit through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk of a car. It also comes with an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other key features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we tested. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopy sizes.

It took us under three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. But, it's lacking some critical features we believe you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. Despite being a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward position, or they can rotate. This is useful in rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we let them swivel and it performed well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is simple to fold and fits into the car's boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers that we tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver across different terrains and even with two kids as well as a shopping bag and other items.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong unlike other prams' hoods which get bounced back into toddlers' faces.

The travel system comes included with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes have a single convertible stroller action and are colour coded. They also work with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single seat buggy pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to handle and comes with great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also light and durable. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat features two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro, and can cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be set up to take twins or siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face each other or turn around and face the parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling disputes over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a huge gear tray, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has a superior folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who want to keep active. It's among the lightest strollers you can buy for your child and offers great safety features like a 5-point harness as well as a safety wrist strap. It also comes with an innovative twist hand brake that's distinct from the lever-type used on rival models.

The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit in, but the depth of the seat is not as deep as other joggers we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin is secured with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10lbs that is enough for the majority of diaper bags.
