UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time, the handles on your doors will get worn out and need to be changed. When doing this it is crucial that the new handles are in line with the exact dimensions of the handle that was previously used.

A lever/lever handle is a contemporary door handle designed to suit new or replacement doors. This style door handle is available in a wide range of styles and finishes. This handle is offered by several manufacturers including Avocet ERA Fullex Hoppe Mila Millenco Yale.

Fab and Fix Windsor Inline Sprung Lever Door Handle

The handles made of uPVC/Composite are made from robust materials, and are ideal for multi-point lock doors that require a strong design. The handles are inline and use the same spindle and screws to fix them. They can be easily installed on new or existing uPVC/Composite door.

The sprung lever design allows the handle to be set and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested to 200,000 cycles, which will ensure the quality of the finish and performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever is also adjustable to fit a wide range of locks. This is particularly beneficial for doors with narrower frames, where the cylinder is further back. A shortened lever is also an excellent option for doors that have latches that can be activated by the thumb turn on the inside.

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle is different from the lever handles commonly found on doors. These handle types can either operate from a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side using two offset or inline spindles (pad). They are usually employed on UPVC double glazed doors. They come in many variations & styles.

The handles have been tested to at least 200 000 cycles and are available in several finishes, including White and Silver, as well as Chrome & Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to rust. This gives the handle an outstanding performance and durability to serve the purpose it was designed for.

All UPVC levers for handles for patio doors include a spindle and screws, and can be fitted on the uPVC door. Certain cylinders come with extra features that can improve security, like anti-drill or anti bump properties.

A euro cylinder should be measured correctly to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder must be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. It is recommended to do this with the lock in place however if this is not possible, you may remove it to take measurements. It is important to avoid having a cylinder that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it vulnerable to lock snapping attacks.

Most newer cylinders have been designed with bump and anti-drill features that are built into their design. They are designed to decrease the risk of attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This can help to deflect an attack and keep your door safe.

There are cylinders that are made to resist snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the break line of the lock, and then the front of cylinder is snapped off. This is a much faster and more convenient method of gaining access than through the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves no evidence of the break-in which could delay insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found in the base plate of your door handle. It provides a sprung solution to bring the multipoint lock handles to their original position after usage. There was a time when handles of this kind did not have a spring built into them, and as a result, they are more likely to slide or drop once the window locking handles mechanism has been disengaged. These spring cassettes were designed to be used with sprung multipoint lock.
