Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to mark the centennial of the company. It is made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes the flying "B" paperweight, keys, and an unreleased booklet with 1930s 8 Litre images.

It's a great present to welcome a new owner into their luxurious car.

Aesthetics

As a company that is primarily focused on design, Bentley takes its aesthetics extremely seriously. Each key takes two days to create. The key is cut by hand, shaped by hand, stitched after which it is sealed and polished to create a high-end result. Secure-A-Key is also available to help stop keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote-control key fob and is turned off after a few minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices which can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive style reflects the company's values of fine craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and modern technology. Over 4,000 employees work at the Crewe headquarters, responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley cars. Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own car. The "mood station" lets customers pick images that inspire them. They can choose anything from beautiful landscapes to sporting events. Each time a selection is made, the pattern that emerges shows the model, color and style preferences for the bespoke Bentley.

The resulting configuration is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards which are handed out to the guests in a custom-made key case. The keys are also equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps, which illuminate the door-opening pathway with the owner's name, or emblem as they approach the vehicle.
