Once you've connected your smart refrigerator to your smartphone and hub, it is extremely simple to use. SmartThings lets you manage your refrigerator from anywhere. Notifications are sent to your phone when the refrigerator is opened or closed. You can create schedules, adjust the temperature and set reminders.

SmartThings is an early member of the Home Connectivity Alliance, which is working to make major home appliances from a range of manufacturers interoperable. Apart from its entertainment and grocery management capabilities, Family Hub also acts as a controller for Samsung's SmartThings platform. It can onboard Matter-compatible devices, like lights, plugs and locks and can be used with the touchscreen to control them as well.

buy samsung fridge's fridge is a few years old and while it still has plenty of features however, its touchscreen capabilities aren't a feature most people would consider a must-have. These are more of a fun and somewhat frivolous addition than anything else.

This could change when there are more software updates, but for the moment these models are ideal for those who wish to have the most comprehensive connected refrigerator they can get. You can save money by buying an appliance that does not include the Family Hub if you're not one of those people. This could be worth it if you have a lot of smart home appliances that must be controlled from the same screen, or if you just love the idea of a fridge with a giant touchscreen.
