The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of a button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best mop vacuum robot combo time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first go. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet height and top robot vacuum depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a premium category. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The central control panel has an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
