BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost uses CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This stops thieves from replacing the ECU or putting in new locks to bypass the security system.

Like other immobilisers, The Ghost is different from other immobilisers. Ghost doesn't use LED indications or key fobs. Instead, it uses your vehicle's existing buttons to allow you to select a unique disarm sequence that you only are aware of.

Stop & Start

If you've previously driven a BMW or used its stop-start feature, you might have noticed that the engine continues to run for about 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. This is due to the BMW engine management system continuously monitoring your vehicle for a signal from the ignition key, and if this is found it will keep running. The Autowatch 2 Ghost is a device that prevents this by stopping the vehicle when you hit a button.

Our BMW ghost immobiliser, a next-generation device, does not require you to cut OEM wires or to add aftermarket alarms and key fobs. It is connected to the BMW's CAN data network and programmed with a secure, unique PIN code that can be accessible through buttons in your car. This allows you to enter a specific key push sequence that isn't found present in the standard menus for media, such as volume up/down, source, cruise control or air conditioning on and stops your car from starting until this is entered. The PIN can be between 4 and 20 digits and is therefore difficult for thieves to determine or break.

In addition to this we can also add a service / valet mode to the system. This is activated when the car is being serviced so that the Ghost is not visible to the garage. You can activate this mode by pressing the service button five times on your infotainment device (the system will flash in confirmation) and the Ghost will automatically arm itself when you return.

Ghost immobilisers are highly recommended for top-of-the-line automobiles. It is completely undetectable, does not require cutting any original factory wires and has the ability to disable your car's engine if an incorrect pin code is entered. Service Mode / Valet Mode

The Ghost is the most effective immobiliser on the market. It prevents your vehicle from being stolen by hacking or key cloning. It uses the factory buttons of your vehicle to generate an individual push sequence that only you know. This is similar to the pin code security of your mobile phone. It's subtle and extremely effective, not to mention stopping even the most zealous thieves from ever trying!

When parked at your home or in a meet and greet situation in a meeting and greet situation, the Ghost can be set to service mode. This lets you start the vehicle using your keys but prevents the engine from starting until the correct code has been entered. This is ideal for those who need to give their vehicles to valet service companies, or trusted family members and friends. Anti-Hijack

With hi-tech thieves becoming more and more sophisticated, the technology in security systems has to evolve, this is why Ghost has created this discrete and discreet immobiliser. It is designed to prevent thieves from adding an ignition key or replacing the ECU to start your car and drive it off. Ghost is connected to your CAN network and utilizes buttons on your vehicle to generate a unique push-sequence that must be entered before the engine can begin.

This will activate the anti-hijack function and, once activated, any attempt to start the engine will be stopped. If the system detects that the vehicle is no longer moving, it will honk the horn and flash the indicators. If it is not able to identify the correct code it will also stop the engine (where it is). By entering your push sequence or entering service mode, you can cancel the Anti-Hijack feature. This allows your vehicle to be temporarily started without having to enter PIN.

If you own an GPS device linked up to your BMW it could be used to turn off the Anti-Hijack feature, so you can still use the navigation system in your car whilst the vehicle is parked and not being watched. You can also use your smart-phone to control the anti-theft feature as well as other functions.

The product is certified by Tassa and is recognized by the majority of insurance companies. It reduces the chance of your joy and pride being stolen. It is discrete and invisible, it won't interfere with the vehicle's functionality or require any special programming skills to set up or operate. It is totally undetectable to the diagnostic tools used by thieves and is not susceptible to key cloning since it connects to the vehicle's CAN data network.

Remote Control

We can connect the Ghost device to your mobile application to allow remote control of keyless start and go capabilities. This is helpful if you need to be somewhere else and valet or mechanic needs to start your car. The system lets you start your car by selecting drive, then leave the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on a map in real-time on your smartphone.

The Ghost can be positioned on the dashboard or in the centre console. It is completely hidden and secure, and doesn't require any additional wiring. The device is connected to CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personal pin code is programmed in it. The pin code has to be chosen before the vehicle starts. This prevents thieves from bypassing the system using the cloned or replaced ECU.

If the vehicle is stolen, the ghost immobiliser range rover will enter a security mode and disables all functions unless the PIN code is entered, or you can utilize the mobile app to disarm it. This feature was developed to safeguard your vehicle from thieves using high-tech devices who utilize relay boxes to take it. This will prevent thieves from using their mobile phones to turn on your sat-nav or mp3 players to track your vehicle!

Ghost can also stop the 'Relay-style Frequency amplification'. This is the most common method of preventing a vehicle from being taken away with a key-fob that has been cloned or stolen via hacking. Ghost can help you prevent this from happening by installing a device known as Secure-A Key inside your vehicle. The device is inserted into the key-fob in your vehicle and disconnects the battery after a short period of inactivity, this can be done on the majority of modern PKE key-fobs.
