The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The best robot sweep and mop also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of one button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior because its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal if you want to own one of the top robot vacuum robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and move on whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong like the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium best robot vacuum and mop with mapping mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best hybrid vacuum mop robot known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not home. It also has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can create detailed floor vacuum robot maps and identify various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house.
