Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin

They are the most popular type of double pushchair and usually can accommodate two children in a row. They tend to be wider than single pushchairs, meaning they may be less nimble on the sidewalk and can be a little tricky to navigate between kerbs with a car seat attached. The extra width makes them easier to maneuver through doorways and also more evenly distributed, so it is less burdensome to carry around on your back.

They can be used as a twin pram from birth, and many models can accommodate a carrycot or two car seats. Some can even be converted to one-mode with the basket (like the Cybex Venus).

It can also be used in mono mode with just one child due to a large shopping basket that sits behind the seat. And it has front and rear suspension to tackle bumps and uneven surfaces more easily. Tandem

If you plan to have twins, you'll require a tandem pushchair. This allows each child to sit and see each one another. They are great for trips to the zoo, as children can look at the animals together. These are also great for parents who need to keep an eye on their toddler and baby simultaneously.

Some tandem pushchairs provide ultra flexibility since they can be converted back to single mode. This is especially useful when you're planning to have more than two kids (or just your eldest is no longer a need for a buggy). This will prevent you from having to store a buggy empty, which can be expensive.

The Cybex Venus, for example is a model that can be used in mono or double mode. Its frame can expand to accommodate an additional seat. It's not the lightest of pushchairs, but it has a large basket that can be placed behind the front seat in double mode, or in the back when it's in mono mode. It is important to remember that tandems are heavier and longer than single pushchairs and can feel less stable bumping up kerbs or going over uneven surfaces. These pushchairs also need to be dismantled for fitting into cars.
