The bags are made in Dakar, Senegal. Each one bears the name of the family member or close friend, such as Anima and Iris--Wilglory's childhood best friends.

While many luxury brands focus on promoting their European heritage, Anima Iris centers African tradition and history in its designs. The company donates a part of its profits to help women of color, and also selling trendy bags.
