3 Wheel Double Buggy

The Fox 5 is an all-terrain stroller that's perfect for parents who love to explore off-road. It has impressive suspension and big, puncture-proof wheels.

Our test participant Claire was amazed by the clean packaging that was easy to open and deemed it to be one of the fastest and most simple pieces of baby gear to put together. She tested it on some rough terrain and was impressed by its performance.

Seats

Most 3 wheel double buggies begin life as single pushchairs, but some models can be converted to accommodate the seat of a second person or carrycot using adapters (these are more commonly found in tandem buggies). There are also models let you include a ride-onboard for older children who would like to walk, but need a little help.

Check out the Joie Evalite Duo for a lightweight option perfect for city streets. It's a breeze to move and has a deep basket with plenty of storage space. It can accommodate twins starting at birth and accepts two car seats, or a carrycot that has a seat. The seats are required to face forwards and there's not enough space to store a bag of groceries underneath and you'll need a sidepack for that.

Mountain Buggy Duet will be the best choice if you enjoy off-road driving. It's a side-byside model with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. It is easier to get through narrow doors as well as on public transport. It is also able to climb over and over kerbs. The adjustable handlebar has a handbrake for added safety and security.

Another option that is light weight is the UPPAbaby Vista 2 Double, which can be used to accommodate twins or a toddler and baby. The seats have a multi-position reclining with UPF 50+ sunshades. Suspension

MFM reviewer Kath tested the Urban Glide 2 through its paces with her infant and three years old, and found that it performed admirably on difficult terrains: "it navigated effortlessly over grass and bumpy pavements cobbles, dirt tracks and cobbles with ease and was easy to maneuver around corners and get up and down kerbs. The 16" rear wheels, combined with the lockable swivel wheel on the front, make it a very safe jogging experience. Folding

A 3 wheel pushchair wheel double buggy can fold up pretty well to be stored.
