World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3percent of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before the component can be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they would require to achieve the same level using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of an item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a statistic by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example an Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades the equipment they have the original item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrader kit also has its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback because it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. The item upgrader mod will be replaced by a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful however it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player repeatedly enters or exits water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item upgrader kit to return to its initial state which means that the player has to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
