Best Self-Empting Robot Vacuums

A budget bot that is resistant to dirt and simple to fix. Its large bin, easy application experience, and long battery life make it a solid choice for all kinds of environments.

It maps your house and lets you label different rooms and even create virtual "no-go zones". And it does a great job of removing cat hair and cat litter from hardwood floors and carpets with low pile.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The iRobot Roomba j7+ robot vacuum is one of our smartest robots and is extremely easy to use and set up. It can be programmed to clean by your voice using Alexa or Google Assistant and it's compatible with home automation systems like the Nest Learning Thermostat. It looks fantastic in a modern living space. The HEPA filter and rubber brushes need to be replaced at least every 2 months. This is the only model that does not require regular costs.

2. Shark IQ Large

Shark's IQ Robot is one of the few self-emptying vacuums which don't require you to manually empty its trash bin. When it's finished cleaning cycle, the robot will head back to its base station to automatically collect debris and dump it into a large container built into the dock. The process takes just a few minutes and can save you from having to empty the dirt bin as many as 30 times a year. The IQ Robot works quickly and efficiently, never getting stuck, and comes with an easy-to-use application that lets you set schedules. Its utilitarian, all-black design looks more robotic than traditional vacuums. It's not stunning however it feels solid and well-built.
