Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

A robot vacuum is a great tool to maintain the cleanliness of your home. It can pick up pet hair, dust, and other particles on the surface.

1. iRobot s8

This smart robot vacuum and mop combo is a fantastic choice for many homes. It vacuums and mops well, has excellent navigation with both GPS and laser sensors, and has a wide range of controls and features available via the app. It comes with a useful feature that lets you create cleaning zones in areas that require extra attention, and Keep Out zones in areas you don't want it to be. And, like all Roomba devices, it gets new software updates that make it better over time.

It's expensive, but it's also one of the most advanced robot vacuums ZDNet has tested. It comes with a powerful battery that can clean a large area in less than two hours. It can switch between vacuuming and mopping by pressing a button. It will automatically empty the bin of dust above its charging station, unlike other self emptying robots which require you to empty it after every run.

It comes with a variety of other features that make it a great option for most homes, including intelligent obstacle avoidance that utilizes both a camera and processor-powered smarts to see obstacles. It isn't often entangled or stuck during a cleaning cycle, and it's the best in avoiding power cables and other objects I've tested. However, it isn't as accurate in detecting pet waste and other hazards.

2. Eufy RoboVac Hybrid X8

While Anker-owned Eufy has made its name in budget robot vacuums, it's never offered an all-in-one model which can also mop. The X8 Hybrid is a new model that comes with a variety of modern features and can compete with much more expensive models.

The laser navigation is the main selling point of this machine. The X8 uses laser mapping technology that is more precise than previous Eufy devices. It takes less time to create an extensive map of your home. It also has the ability to store multiple maps. This is ideal for homes with multiple floors.

The X8 is a great vacuum cleaner for floors that are clean. It can easily sling debris under the side brushes and into its 400ml dustbin. The X8's tyres, despite having a circular shape, are very efficient at grabbing corners and edges. Our tests showed that it was able to remove 90% of the fur on hard floors.

The basic mopping mode utilizes the same water reservoir as the vacuuming mode. This is ideal for spills that are not too dangerous, but you are unable to regulate the amount of water it uses. It does, however, do an admirable job of picking up pet hair, with a better speed of pickup than the Roborock S7.

It's a capable robot vacuum, even though its application is a bit slow and the 980 spins out when it is pushed over cables.
